FIRST FLIGHT
December 1933.

The Model 75 was designed by the Stearman Aircraft Company, based upon their Model C.

It is a biplane with large fixed undercarriage, open cockpits in tandem for the instructor and student with a Radial engine that was normally left un-cowled.

In 1934 Stearman Aircraft became a subsidiary of Boeing and the Model 75 widely became known as the Stearman or Kaydet after the Canadian’s aircraft designation.

PRODUCTION
Production ended in early 1945 by which time over 10,000 had been produced.

The Boeing Stearman served as a primary trainer for the United States Army Air Forces, the United States Navy and the Royal Canadian Air Force throughout World War II.

After WWII surplus aircraft were sold on the civilian market as they became popular as crop dusters, sports planes, aerobatic displays and wing walking at Airshows.
